How It All Came About
The company has been working with healthcare companies for over a decade. Isosign was developed out of that relationship and specifically for a newly constructed hospital in Louisville, Kentucky, at the request of the facility’s Infection Prevention Manager. She needed us to resolve the issue of posting isolation precautions signage neatly and easily in a brand-new facility, without the use of tape or cluttering the corridors.
The IsoSign was developed and implemented at the hospital with great success. The reviews that came back from the hospital we’re so outstanding, we took sign to other practitioners for review. With the enthusiastic reports that were received, a patent pending application was filed and is in review now with US patent office.
With feedback from hospital clinicians, the signage went into further development yielding the IsoPlus which includes risk management inserts. The IsoComplete sign includes the patient room number in raised copy and braille making it ADA compliant, and a complete patient room sign.
Taking It To The Next Level
The Isosign is now being marketed nationwide and will make its second appearance at APIC in 2012. The company continues to improve and add new features to the Isosign family of healthcare signage. The Isosign is a product of Sign 4, LLC, a full-service commercial sign company located in Louisville Kentucky, founded in 1995.
